Pro-Palestinian protesters clashed with the NYPD near the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in New York. My attempt to see the Rockefeller Tree Lighting was thwarted by the No Backpack Rule, forcing me to turn back towards 5th Ave. There, I encountered and photographed a large group of protesters gathering for the demonstration. As the protest began its march, tensions escalated, and NYPD installed traffic barriers, leading to a chaotic scene. Watch the full event unfold through my lens.
