The Changemaker : SHORT FILM
Working on The Changemaker was a great opportunity to explore something a little different creatively. The film is a corporate drama short film designed as a story that resonates with audiences familiar with LinkedIn-style professional narratives about ambition, leadership, and workplace challenges. As the Director of Photography, my favorite moment to capture was the long establishing shot at the beginning of the film, which helped set the tone visually. Collaborating with a talented crew and having the flexibility to experiment with cinematography and visual storytelling made the experience both fun and creatively rewarding.

The Changemaker was directed by Jose Bustillo, a LinkedIn influencer and fellow New York Film Academy classmate. Working on his project was a great experience because he had a clear creative vision for the story. As the Director of Photography, my role was to bring that vision to life through the cinematography. The film explores the sense of excitement and hope that comes with entering the corporate world, even when the workplace can be challenging for those just starting their careers.
The Changemaker was a rewarding project to work on with a great crew. The film was completed during a one-day shoot with a few days dedicated to editing and post-production. The story reflects situations that many people experience in the corporate workplace, where new professionals sometimes have to push back and advocate for their ideas in order to be heard. In the end, it becomes an uplifting story about personal growth and the early steps of a young professional’s journey.
